Vancouver PCG Joins 15th Anniversary of Pinoy Fiesta: Huling Hirit sa Tag-Init

Vancouver, BC 23 September 2025 – Philippine Consul General Gina A. Jamoralin joined the Filipino community in celebrating the 15th Anniversary of Pinoy Fiesta: Huling Hirit sa Tag-Init on 31 August 2025 at the John Hendry Park in Vancouver.

The event was organized by Pinoy Fiesta Vancouver, under the leadership of Mr. Jojo Quimpo, and brought together community members, leaders, and friends of the Filipino community.   The event was held in the spirit of unity, guided by a strong desire for healing and recovery in the wake of the Lapu-Lapu Day Block party tragedy.

In her remarks, Consul General Jamoralin shared her message of unity, resilience and cultural pride. She also extended a warm invitation to the community to take part in the upcoming signature Philippine tourism project, “Winter Escapade 10”, scheduled on        01-10 February 2026 in Manila, Siquijor, Dumaguete and Bicol and highlighted the opportunity to reconnect with family roots, explore the beauty of the Philippines and celebrate the warmth of Filipino hospitality.

The Pinoy Fiesta is a whole day event that featured cultural presentations from various groups, Concert at the Park with talented local singers, dancers and bands, Pinoy Fiesta Market and Parade of Lights.  The evening concluded with a film screening. END
