Vancouver, 15 January 2026 — The Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver marked the departure from Post of Consul Analyn D. Ratonel and Mr. Jay Michael R. Tolentino, both of whom completed their full six-year tour of duty in January 2026.
Consul Ratonel assumed her post on 26 January 2020 and served with diligence and professionalism, overseeing key divisions of the Consulate General, including Cultural and Administrative Matters. Her leadership and commitment significantly contributed to the effective delivery of services and the promotion of Philippine interests in the Consular jurisdiction.
Mr. Tolentino, who assumed post on 23 January 2020, served as the Consulate General’s Communications, Records, and Protocol Officer. He played a vital role in ensuring clear institutional communications, orderly records management, and the smooth conduct of official engagements and protocol activities. His reliability and attention to detail made him an indispensable member of the Post.
In recognition of their dedicated service, Consul General Gina A. Jamoralin hosted a despedida in their honor on 15 January 2026 at the Consulate General’s consular section. The event was attended by Consulate personnel and the families of the departing officers. Both Consul Ratonel and Mr. Tolentino were presented with certificates and tokens of appreciation in acknowledgment of their exemplary service, professionalism, and invaluable contributions to the Consulate General.
In her remarks, Consul General Jamoralin said, “Consul Ratonel and Mr. Tolentino have been pillars of the Post—diligent, responsible, and deeply committed to public service. Their dedication has strengthened the work of the Consulate General and left a lasting impact on our team and the Filipino community we serve.
