Vancouver, BC, 15 May 2026 - Philippine Ambassador to Canada H. E. Jose Victor Chan-Gonzaga visited the Migrant Workers Office in Vancouver on 07 May 2026. The Ambassador was welcomed by Labor Attache Ma. Celeste Valderrama, Welfare Officer Allan Ignacio, SSS Representative Darwin Karl Soria, and their respective staff. The MWO, OWWA, and SSS reassured the Ambassador of their commitment to protect and promote the rights and welfare of Overseas Filipino Workers in Canada.They discussed the status of their services such as accreditation of foreign employers; contract verification; assistance to nationals; workers’ welfare and education; and SSS programs.
