Vancouver PCG and Ottawa PE Pay Respects to Victims of Lapu Lapu Tragedy

Vancouver, BC, 15 May 2026 - Vancouver PCG Consul General Gina A. Jamoralin joined H. E. Jose Victor Chan-Gonzaga, PH Ambassador to Canada, in paying respect to the victims of the Lapu Lapu tragedy which occurred in Vancouver on 26 April 2025. Officials from both the PH Embassy and the PH Consulate had a memorial ceremony involving a minute of silence and intercession prayers for the victims. Ambassador Chan-Gonzaga and Deputy Head of Mission Rea G. Oreta offered bouquets of flowers at the temporary memorial site. Candles were also lit during the intercession prayers. END
