22 DECEMBER 2025, VANCOUVER BC – Mr. Jojo Quimpo, newly-elected President of the Aklanon Sto. Niño Association, paid a courtesy call on Consul General Gina Jamoralin at the Philippine Consulate General on 10 December 2026.
During the call, Mr. Quimpo discussed various projects he organized in Vancouver that have celebrated Filipino heritage and strengthened community ties through the performance of Filipino artists. He also discussed the Aklanon Association’s plans for 2026 that aims to showcase Filipino artists from the Philippines. Consul General Gina Jamoralin expressed her appreciation for the organization’s continued efforts to promote Philippine culture including the famous Ati-Atihan Festival in Kalibo by organizing an Ati-Atihan / Sto. Niño event in Vancouver on 3 January 2026 and support for the upliftment of the Filipino community through cultural and artistic initiatives. END.
