20 August 2021 - The University of the Philippines Alumni Association of British Columbia (UPAABC), in partnership with Vancouver PCG, organized the Balagtasan, Kundiman, Harana, Tula at Sayawan (Ikapitong Yugto) on 20 August 2021 at Praise International Church to celebrate August as Buwan ng Wika.
More than seventy (70) alumni members and guests were in attendance, dressed in their Filipiniana attire. In her welcome remarks, Consul General Maria Andrelita S. Austria thanked UPAABC for their unwavering promotion of the Filipino language and culture in British Columbia. Consul General Austria also encouraged all eligible Filipinos to register for the 2022 Philippine National Elections. END
