06 June 2023 – The Philippines’ Department of Tourism (DOT) – San Francisco, One Dream Travel, China Airlines, and Taiwan Tourism Bureau teamed up to host a series of Road Shows in British Columbia for a joint tourism promotion in May 2023.
Philippine Consul General Arlene Magno joined the Road Show held at the Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel in Vancouver on 31 May 2023 while Consul Analyn Ratonel traveled to Victoria with PDOT-San Francisco Tourism Attaché Soleil Tropicales to participate in the tourism promotion activity on 30 May 2023.
The Road Shows provided travel advisors with destination updates from Taiwan and the Philippines, flights and services from Taiwan’s China Airlines as well as vacation packages and customized trips being offered by One Dream Travel.
During her presentation, PDOT-San Francisco Tourism Attaché Soleil Tropicales gave an overview of the geography, people and the rich cultural heritage of the Philippines. She also showed a video of the various tourism attractions in the country.
Programs that combine the Philippines and Taiwan on a variety of itineraries, with flights by China Airlines are made available on One Dream Travel’s online platform. Mr. Ricky Poon, Vice President of One Dream Travel in Vancouver, likewise shared with guests that they will operate an agent fam tour in September to the Philippines for four nights, then Taiwan for four nights.
After Vancouver, the team proceeded to Alberta for events in Calgary and Edmonton. END
