The AME is a not-for-profit organization representing mineral explorers and developers in British Columbia and beyond, committed to supporting a vibrant, safe, and sustainable mineral exploration industry. AME is recognized as one of the premier mineral exploration conferences globally as it gathers industry leaders, geoscientists, investors, policymakers, Indigenous partners, academics, and government representatives to discuss the future of mineral exploration and development.
On 25 January 2026, Consul General Gina A. Jamoralin engaged with the Canadian officials, industry experts, and business representatives in the mining sector during the Northwest Territories (NWT) night at Fairmont Waterfront Ballroom. Moreover, The Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver continues to support initiatives that foster trade, investment, and knowledge exchange between the Philippines and Canada, ensuring that Filipino stakeholders remain informed and engaged in key international economic developments.
On 28 January 2026, the Consulate’s Economic Section participated in the Mineral Resources Act Update Panel Discussion at Cypress Room, Pan Pacific Hotel. The experts include Mr. Brett Wheller (Senior Official of Land & Environment / Intergovernmental Engagement, Tłı̨chǫ Government); Ms. Jessica Bos (Mining Recorder, Government of Northwest Territories); Ms. Dianna Beck (Director, Mineral and Petroleum Resources Division, GNWT); and Mr. Matthew Senkow, P. Geo. (Manager, Mineral Resources Planning, GNWT).
Overall, the conference featured a comprehensive program including technical sessions, short courses, panel discussions, networking events, and a large exhibition hall showcasing the latest advances in exploration technology, research, and services.
