PH Consul General in Vancouver Joins Philippine Bicol Association of British Columbia’s 35th Anniversary and Administers Induction Ceremony

Vancouver, BC 07 November 2025 - Philippine Consul General Gina A. Jamoralin joined the Philippine Bicol Association of British Columbia (PBABC) in the celebration of its 35th Anniversary and induction ceremony of its new set of officers and board of directors on 07 November 2025 at Riverside Palace, Richmond, British Columbia.
PBABC is a community-based non-profit organization which serves the Bicolano community (people from the Bicol Region of the Philippines) living in British Columbia, as well as connecting with their heritage back in the Philippines.
In her remarks, Consul General Jamoralin commended the organization for being a strong pillar of the Filipino community in BC keeping alive the Bicolano spirit of resilience, generosity, and unity. Through PBABC’s projects that help calamity victims in the Philippines and promote Filipino culture in Canada, the organization shows what Bayanihan truly means.
Consul General Jamoralin also took the opportunity to invite the attendees to join the Winter Escapade 10 scheduled on 1-10 February 2026 in Manila, Siquijor, Dumaguete and Bicol and the PBABC to invite its fellow Bicolanos and the younger generation to revisit their home province and reconnect with their roots. Likewise, Consul General Jamoralin encouraged all Filipino citizens and dual citizens in Canada to register as overseas voters for the upcoming 2028 Philippine National Elections beginning 01 December 2025 until 30 September 2027. Finally, Consul General Jamoralin conveyed the Philippines’ Chairship to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in 2026.
The evening featured captivating entertainment performances, showcasing Filipino talent and cultural pride. Attendees enjoyed a vibrant program filled with music, dance, and camaraderie reflecting the joy and unity that define the Bicolano and Filipino spirit. The PBABC continues to stand as one of the most active and enduring Filipino community organizations in the province. The milestone event was attended by PBABC members, Filipino community leaders, and guests from various organizations across BC.
PBABC serves as a home for Bicolanos living in British Columbia who are originally from the Bicol Region of the Philippines, encompassing the provinces of Albay, Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte, Catanduanes, Masbate, and Sorsogon. END
