PH Consul General in Vancouver Attends Guatemala’s Exhibition of Kites and Traditional Costumes

03 November 2025, VANCOUVER, BC. Consul General Gina Jamoralin attended the Consulate General of Guatemala’s Exhibition of Kites and Traditional Costumes held at the latter’s premises on November 1, 2025.  Consul General Mynor Aguirre Medina opened a week-long exhibit of Guatemala's kites and traditional costumes as a way to celebrate All Saints Day. In a speech delivered at the exhibition, Consul General Mynor said that kites are symbolic means of communicating with the dead in Guatemalan culture. The audience was shown various exhibits of kites and traditional costumes of Guatemala fabric and was treated to some refreshments.

Guatemala and the Philippines formally established diplomatic relations in June 1973.
