Maligayang Pasko, Vancouver 2020! – An Online Christmas Celebration
The Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver Presents,
“Maligayang Pasko, Vancouver 2020!”
Just because we cannot gather together this Christmas doesn’t mean we cannot celebrate the occasion.
With this in mind, the Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver brings to you “Maligayang Pasko, Vancouver 2020!”, featuring three of last year’s popular segments – the carols, the parols, and the market.
Listen to our homegrown Fil-Can artists and Filipino performers serenade you in the comfort of your homes with the music of the season every Friday, beginning December 4, at 6 pm, in a Christmas concert series we have called, “Namamasko Po”. Join us for some Christmas and Original Pilipino Music on December 4, 11, 18, and 25, 2020, as well as on January 1, 2021, and together let us celebrate Pinoy Christmas and usher in the New Year.
Try your hand at creating your own Christmas stars, Filipino style, to deck your homes. Through our Christmas parol-making activity, dubbed, “Mga Bituin ng Pasko”, we will be distributing traditional Pinoy Christmas lantern kits to 25 families, with children aged 4-18 years old, on a first-come, first-served basis. Videos of the families making their parols and photos of the finished stars will be uploaded on the Consulate’s social media accounts.
Visit our Maligayang Pasko Virtual Christmas Booth, your one-stop shop for your Christmas cravings or gift needs and, at the same time, support our participating Filipino-Canadian businesses in Vancouver. Buy for yourself, or for a friend, from our online market during the order period of 12-15 December and pick them up or have them delivered to your homes on 19-20 December.
Watch out for more announcements in the run up to the launch of Maligayang Pasko, Vancouver 2020! on December 4.
