Consul General Austria Engages with Filipino Students at Vancouver Community College (VCC)

21 June 2022 – Consul General Maria Andrelita Austria visited Vancouver Community College (VCC) during its student engagement event held on 16 June 2022.  She was accompanied by Consul Analyn Ratonel.

During the event, Consul General Austria met with VCC’s in-country marketing representative Rona Diaz and several Filipino students. Consul General Austria discussed the Consulate’s economic, cultural and consular programs while the students shared their insights and concerns related to educational opportunities in Canada, experiences while studying in British Columbia and employment prospects after completion of their course.

The Philippines is one of the fastest growing source countries in terms of international students in Canada. END
