ADVISORY NO 07 – 2021
Reminders on Unaccompanied Minors Travelling to the Philippines

Relative to the travel of unaccompanied minors to the Philippines, please be informed of the following
reminders from the Philippine Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD):

1. Based on current restrictions on the travel of babies/minors to the Philippines and those who intend to
travel to be accompanied by a non-relative, a Parent’s Affidavit of Consent will not be acknowledged,
per existing inter- agency issuances (especially for babies coming from Israel); and

2. That returning overseas Filipinos (ROFs) are reminded of the processes that they have to undergo
starting from the arrival in the airport, at the quarantine facilities (especially those coming from
flagged countries); and return to their hometowns/destination in the Philippines. Specific emphasis on
the quarantine requirement of unaccompanied minors who should they stay for 14 days in the
quarantine facility, i.e., they should be accompanied by a relative with no co-morbidity issue.
