PHILIPPINE CONSULATE GENERAL IN VANCOUVER JOINS EL SHADDAI VANCOUVER CHAPTER IN CELEBRATING ITS 34TH ANNIVERSARY DINNER

Vancouver, British Columbia, 28 July 2026 – The Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver, led by Consul General Gina A. Jamoralin, joined the El Shaddai DWXI Prayer Partners Fellowship International – Vancouver Chapter in celebrating its 34th Anniversary held at the Italian Multicultural Centre in Vancouver on 11 July 2026.
The anniversary celebration brought together members of the Filipino El Shaddai community, church leaders, and guests in a spirit of thanksgiving, fellowship, and renewed commitment to faith. During the dinner program, Consul General Jamoralin congratulated the El Shaddai Vancouver Chapter on its 34 years of dedicated service to the Filipino community in British Columbia. She commended the organization for its enduring role in strengthening the spiritual formation of Filipinos and fostering unity, faith, and community among Filipino migrants in Canada.

The Consul General also highlighted the successful visit of Philippine President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to Canada, during which the Philippines and Canada elevated their bilateral relations to a Strategic Partnership. She noted that the visit resulted in the signing of several agreements in the areas of culture, tourism, energy and natural resources, as well as labor and migration, further strengthening cooperation between the two countries and enhancing protection for Filipino workers in Canada.
In her remarks, Consul General Jamoralin likewise encouraged the Filipino community to participate in the Winter Escapade 2027 program, the flagship tourism initiative of the Philippine Foreign Service Posts in Canada, and invited attendees to visit the Philippines and experience its diverse cultural and natural attractions.

She also urged eligible Filipinos in Canada to register as Overseas Absentee Voters for the 2028 Philippine National Elections and reminded previously registered voters to verify the status of their voter registration to ensure their continued participation in the democratic process.
Concluding her message, Consul General Jamoralin reaffirmed the Philippines' commitment to upholding international law as the country commemorates the tenth anniversary of the landmark 2016 South China Sea Arbitral Award. She emphasized the significance of the ruling in affirming the Philippines' sovereign rights and lawful maritime entitlements under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).

The event commemorated El Shaddai’s 34th anniversary in Vancouver and was attended by Fr. Peter Lapinski, Pastor of St. Patrick’s Church in Vancouver; Ms. Grace Ayodele, Director of El Shaddai DWXI PPFI; Ms. Cindy Lui and Ms. Lita Solatre, Board Members of El Shaddai DWXI PPFI; Bro. Joel Macquillan, International Disciple Preacher, Vancouver Chapter; Bro. Julio Dechavez, International Disciple Preacher for London and Italy; Bro. Jeff Javier, Head of Disciple Preachers; and members of the El Shaddai Disciple and Gospel Sharers.
The Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver remains committed to supporting Filipino community organizations that promote faith, unity, cultural identity, and active civic engagement among Filipinos in British Columbia, Northwest Territories, and the Yukon.
