28 JULY 2026, RICHMOND, BC Last 16 July 2026, PCG Vancouver attended the joint formal opening of Westside Studios and Work Commons at 13888 Wireless Way in Richmond, BC. Vice Consul Marco Harder represented the Consulate at the opening ceremony.
Westside Studios is a photography studio owned by Filipino-Canadian William Orsua. The facility boasts of a two-wall cyclorama photography and video studio that provides photographers and image-makers a full range of capabilities to realize their creative vision. Work Commons, meanwhile, is a co-working space located in the same building that targets freelancers, startups and other professionals that need access to facilities to do their work or run their business.
The Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver aims to support Filipino entrepreneurs in its jurisdiction. Projects such as the Business Seminar for Filipino-Canadian Entrepreneurs in 2025 and this year’s Online Seminar on Importing Philippine Food and Agricultural Products to Canada are some examples of such efforts from the Consulate that align with this objective.
