“Musika at Himig Natin: Tradisyon, Industriya, at Bagong Tinig”
The Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver joins the observance of Linggo ng Musikang Pilipino (LMP), held every last week of July pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 933, s. 2014, in line with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA).
With the theme “Musika at Himig Natin: Tradisyon, Industriya, at Bagong Tinig,” this year’s celebration highlights the importance of preserving traditional music, supporting the local music industry, and promoting emerging Filipino artists.
