During the event, Consul Estanislao met with Ms. Elena Agala, Director of Rotary World Help and Director of the Rotary Club of Richmond Sunrise and Mr. Jerry Zdril, President and Director.
In his brief remarks, Consul Estanislao highlighted that the event's timing coincides with the celebration of Philippine Independence Day. He emphasized that the actual donation and the tireless volunteer work driving the initiative are a true testament and demonstration of Rotary International's Four-Way Test.
This latest container destined for Borongan represents part of an enduring humanitarian legacy, counting toward the more than 140 containers sent by the organization since 1997. Notably, the Philippines has received the highest number of 40-foot container donations from Rotary World Help compared to the other 61 developing countries around the world. This entire operation relies completely on the spirit of service, operating with no paid staff as all participants are dedicated volunteers
The Philippine Consulate General extends its deepest gratitude to Rotary World Help, the Rotary Club of Richmond Sunrise, and all the volunteers whose enduring generosity continues to uplift communities across the Philippines. END
