RICHMOND, BC – On 13 June 2026, the Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver, represented by Consul Andre Peter C. Estanislao, attended the official public launch of Filipino-Canadian Architect Joe Larano Jr.’s book, Snippet of Stories: Life Journeys of Filipinos in British Columbia Canada, held at the Richmond Faith Fellowship. The program brought the community together through an engaging afternoon that featured a warm fellowship, a ceremonial ribbon-cutting, the formal book launch, an interactive question and answer session, and a book signing with the author. Notably, Consul General Gina A. Jamoralin wrote the preface of the book stating the importance of the Filipino diaspora, emphasizing how these personal narratives document the resilience, triumphs, and rich cultural heritage of Filipinos migrating to Canada. She noted that such stories not only preserve the community's collective history but also serve as an inspiring testament to their profound contributions to the socioeconomic and cultural fabric of British Columbia.
