Philippine Consulate General Highlights Community Unity, Youth Leadership, and Cultural Engagement at Circulo Pampangueño’s 38th Anniversary Celebration

Vancouver, B.C.,  25 May 2026  - The Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver reaffirmed its commitment in strengthening Filipino community engagement, cultural identity, and youth leadership during the 38th anniversary celebration of Circulo Pampangueño held at St. Patrick’s Recreation Center on 09 May 2026.

In her message, Consul General Gina Jamoralin expressed appreciation to Ms. Edith Montemayor, the current President for the warm welcome and thanked her for her participation in the recent Town Hall Meeting and ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Philippine Consulate General during the official visit of the Philippine Ambassador to British Columbia. She noted that the presence to these events demonstrated the unity, vibrance, and active participation of the Filipino community in British Columbia.

As Circulo Pampangueño commemorated nearly four decades of preserving Kapampangan heritage and traditions, Consul General Jamoralin highlighted Pampanga’s distinction as the “Culinary Capital of the Philippines.” She likewise acknowledged Pampanga’s Cuisine’s participation at the recently concluded Filipino Food Month celebration held throughout the month of April and encouraged broader participation in the future.

Consul General Jamoralin promoted several programs and services of the Consulate, which includes the Vancouver Emergency Response Mapping Registry (VERMAP), the newly-launched Canada Youth Leaders in the Diaspora (YouLEAD) Program to be held in August 2026, the ongoing Overseas Absentee Voting (OAV) registration for the 2028 Philippine national elections and the Consulate’s plans for a Post-Arrival Orientation Seminar (PAOS), tentatively scheduled online on 29 August 2026.
