PH Consulate General Attends Memorial Mass for Lapu-Lapu Tragedy Victims at St. Andrew’s Parish

VANCOUVER 13 April 2026 - Philippine Consul General Gina A. Jamoralin attended a memorial mass for the victims of the Lapu-Lapu Tragedy on 10 April 2026 at St. Andrew’s Parish, Vancouver The mass, organized by the office Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Vancouver-Kensington and Deputy Speaker Mable Elmore, brought together the families of the victims, members of the Filipino community, and church leaders in a simple and solemn gathering. The service offered prayers for those still grieving and gave the community a place to come together and remember the victims.

The memorial was also attended by several prominent officials, including Premier David Eby of British Columbia, Vancouver City Mayor Ken Sim, and Leader of the Official Opposition MP Pierre Poilievre. Their presence showed support for the families who lost loved ones and for the community during this period of remembrance.END
