2nd Filipino Restaurant Month in Canada (FRMC) Launched in British Columbia

22 March 2023 – On its second year, the Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver hosted a media launch of the Filipino Restaurant Month in Canada (FRMC) on  20 March 2023 at Post’s Consular lobby.  The event was attended by media personalities from CTV Morning News, OMNI News, ABS-CBN TFC-Balitang America as well as influencers and vloggers.

In British Columbia, nine (9) participating restaurants joined the   2nd FRMC:  Grandt Kitchen, Plato Filipino, Max’s Restaurant, Smokehouse Sandwich Co., Pampanga’s Cuisine, Kumare, Shameless Buns, Little Ongpin and Liberte Café & Restaurant. The last three restaurants are participating for the first time this year.

The FRMC is the Philippine Posts in Canada’s Common Cultural Calendar Project spearheaded by the Philippine Consulate General in Calgary, in partnership with the Philippine Department of Tourism – San Francisco and Department of Trade and Industry.  For the entire month of April, select Filipino restaurants in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Ottawa, and beyond will be offering prix fixe menus.  END
