2025 ASEAN Chair Expresses Support at the Signing of the Book of Condolence

02 May 2025, Vancouver. Consul General Gina Jamoralin welcomed friend and colleague, Consul General Mohd Afandi Bin Abu Bakar of Malaysia, 2025 ASEAN Chair, during his visit to the Consulate to sign the Book of Condolence for the victims of the Lapu-Lapu Block Party on 26 April 2025.

In his written message, Consul General Abu Bakar expressed his heartfelt condolence to the families of the victims and the whole Filipino community on behalf of the Malaysian people and as representative of ASEAN Chair Malaysia in British Columbia.

02 May 2025 was declared by British Columbia as a Provincial Day of Remembrance and Mourning for the Victims of the Lapu-Lapu incident.
