30 January 2025, Vancouver B.C. Vice Consul Marco Harder joined the Viva Señor Santo Niño Association of BC at its annual fiesta celebration held at the Santa Monica Parish Hall on 25 January 2025.
As a fitting tribute to the Santo Niño, a four year old boy, Logan Magtoto Gumboc, sang the Canadian national anthem at the opening of the program. There was also a dance number from the ladies of the Viva Señor Santo Niño Association of BC.
Vice Consul Marco Harder, in his remarks, presented the Vancouver Emergency Response Mapping Registry (VERMAP), encouraging all the guests to sign up and aid the Consulate during emergencies by providing updated information and announcements.
Present during the event was Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Ms. Mable Elmore who invited everyone to the Lapu-Lapu Block Party happening in April 2025.
Around 250 people attended the event despite it being the third Sinulog event organized by the FilCom this month. END
