Work site visits, token distribution conducted in celebration of Filipino Migrant Workers Day

In celebration of the 2022 Migrant Workers Day, the Philippine Overseas Labor Office in Vancouver, led by Labor Attaché Jainal T. Rasul, Jr., conducted inspections of worksites and distributed gift bags to Filipino temporary foreign workers in British Columbia. Labatt Rasul was joined by OWWA Welfare Officer Lilia De Guzman and Administrative Staff Neil Nicolas.

During the two-day inspection, POLO Vancouver was able to visit a total of five (5) companies in Chilliwack, Abbotsford, and Pitt Meadows, in the province of British Columbia. POLO has met with employers to talk about the working and living conditions of Filipino workers and the challenges they encountered in hiring of workers from the Philippines.
