Vancouver PCG Receives the Members of the European Union Consular Corps to Express Condolences on the Lapu Lapu Festival Tragedy

Vancouver BC, 29 April 2025 - The members of the European Union consular corps paid a courtesy call on Philippine Consul Gina A. Jamoralin at the Consulate’s boardroom on 28 April 2025, to express sympathies to the victims of the Lapu Lapu Festival tragedy on 26 April 2025.

Consul General Nicolas Baudouin, France; Consul General Marc Eichhorn, Germany; Consul General Dimitrios Skoutas, Greece; Consul Péter Valentovics, Hungary; Consul General Sebastiaan Messerschmidt, Netherlands; Consul General Aleksandra Kucy, Poland; Consul General João Paulo Costa, Portugal; Consul General Gabriel Rotaru, Romania; Consul General Thomas Schneider, Switzerland; and Vice-Consul Maire Ni Chriostail, Ireland conveyed messages of sympathies on the victims of the Lapu Lapu Festival tragedy. Likewise, the members of the ASEAN consular corps expressed their condolences.

A condolence book was also opened on 28 April 25 at the Hall of the Parliament Buildings in Victoria in honor of the memory of the victims of the Lapu Lapu festival tragedy. END
