VANCOUVER, 13 June 2024 – The City Hall of Vancouver and the iconic Burrard Bridge shone brightly in commemorative colors to mark Philippine Independence Day and celebrate Filipino Heritage Month. This tribute was held from 10:00 PM to midnight on 12 June 2024, demonstrating the city's appreciation and solidarity with the Filipino community.

The facade of the City Hall was lit in vibrant blue, with its clock face adorned in red and yellow, reflecting the colors of the Philippine flag. Similarly, the Burrard Bridge was illuminated in blue, casting a glow over the city's waterscape.

The commemorative lighting was part of a series of events and initiatives throughout June undertaken by the Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver and the Filipino-Canadian organizations aimed at highlighting the contributions of the Filipino community to the province of British Columbia. END
