VANCOUVER, BC, 11 March 2025 – The Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver congratulates Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) Mable Elmore on her appointment as Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia.
MLA Elmore recently assumed the role of Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of B.C., the first person of Asian heritage to hold the position in the province. She is also the first person of Filipino descent to become Deputy Speaker of the assembly.
Her achievement is a source of immense pride and inspiration for Filipinos in British Columbia and beyond. Her success reflects the growing contributions of the Filipino-Canadian community in the social, economic and political fabric of this province.
