11 MARCH 2025, FORT ST. JOHN, BC. The Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver conducted its first consular outreach mission for this year last 07-08 March 2026 in Fort St. John, BC at Radisson Hotel Fort St. John. The outreach team  was assisted by volunteers from the North Peace FilCan Community Bayanihan Association based in Fort St. John, BC.

PCG Vancouver’s One Country Team was represented by  Ms. Carlota Halili-Castaneda, Ms. Millecent Verceles, and Ms. Irene Pilar Mendoza who delivered core consular services. Also joining the outreach mission team were Ms. Ma. Remedios Domingo and Mr. Celso Magpile in their capacities as Voter Registration Machine (VRM) Operator and Overseas Voting Administering Officer respectively for the 2028 elections; Ms. Anne Jelyka Gubat who processed Migrant Workers Office (MWO)-related requests, and; Mr. Darwin Soria who addressed SSS-related queries and transactions. Vice Consul Marco Harder served as the team lead for the consular outreach mission.

The outreach mission offered a full suite of services ranging from passport applications, notarial services, civil registration, and NBI clearance applications. In addition, MWO Vancouver also verified employment contracts, while SSS Vancouver facilitated Annual Confirmation of Pensioner (ACOP) processes and verified records of registered SSS members.

All in all, the outreach mission rendered 209 consular and other services. The outreach mission was also able to register 167 overseas voters during the same weekend.

The Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver has consular jurisdiction in British Columbia, Yukon, and Northwest Territories. Due to the geographical spread of overseas Filipinos across these three provinces and territories, the Consulate regularly mounts consular outreach missions in these areas to make consular services more accessible to clients outside the Greater Vancouver area.
