Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver Celebrates International Women’s Day

09 March 2023 - In commemoration of International Women's Day, the officers and staff of the Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver wore the color purple on  08 March 2023.  Globally, purple is recognized as the color of women, which symbolizes justice and dignity.

The International Women's Day, which the United Nations adopted as an international annual observance in 1975, recognizes the contributions and accomplishments of women in all spheres of life.
