Philippine Consul General Strengthens Ties with British Columbia Officials

VANCOUVER, 17 January 2025 – Philippine Consul General Dr. Gina A. Jamoralin, who recently assumed office in November 2024, paid a courtesy call on Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Susie Chant, who serves as the Parliamentary Secretary at the BC Parliament for Seniors' Services and Long-Term Care and also oversees the Consular Corps in British Columbia, on 15 January 2024. Also in attendance was Mr. Paul Choi, MLA for Burnaby South-Metrotown and Parliamentary Secretary for Asia Pacific Trade.

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss matters of mutual interest, particularly concerning the Filipino community's significant contributions to British Columbia and avenues for enhanced collaboration between the Philippines and the province.

The productive meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment of the Philippines and British Columbia to supporting the Filipino community and strengthening economic and cultural ties. END
