08 August 2023 – Philippine Consul General Arlene T. Magno witnessed the installation of the new officers of the Rotary Club of Vancouver Mountainview (RCVM), led by its President Mr. Bert Parungao, on 05 August 2023, during a ceremony held at the Holiday Inn & Suites in Vancouver.
The installation ceremony was attended by distinguished guests, including civic leaders, business professionals, and fellow Rotarians. The event served as a platform to honor the outgoing officers for their exemplary leadership and to welcome the incoming officers, who will carry the torch forward.
In her remarks, Consul General Magno acknowledged the important role of Rotary clubs in the community. She likewise assured the newly-installed officers that they have the support and trust of the Filipino community behind them as well as that of the Philippine Consulate. Meanwhile, Mr. Parungao, a dedicated and accomplished Filipino leader, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to lead the RCVM and outlined his vision for the upcoming year.
