KELOWNA, BC 16 April 2025 – The Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver conducted its second consular and ATN outreach mission for the year from 12 to 13 April 2025 in Kelowna, British Columbia.

Consul General Gina A. Jamoralin led the outreach team with the assistance of the Okanagan Filipino-Canadian Society (OFCS). The team provided a total of 371 consular services and administered the oath of dual citizenship to thirty-three (33) former Filipinos.

Messrs. Allan Ignacio (Welfare Officer), Neil Justin A. Nicolas (MWO-Vancouver) and Mr.  Darwin Soria (SSS-Vancouver) joined Vancouver PCG Team in Kelowna, British Columbia to attend to queries from their members, as well as Temporary Foreign Workers, in the area.

The Consulate also took this opportunity to drive registration in PCG Vancouver’s Emergency Response Mapping Registry (VERMAP), which was launched on 01 January 2025 to capture information about Filipinos (including dual citizens) within Post’s jurisdiction to enable the Consulate to reach out to Filipinos living in these areas in times of emergencies.
