Consul General Austria Meets BCIT Officials on Collaboration in the Aircraft Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul and the Creatives Industries

Consul General Maria Andrelita S. Austria (leftmost) listens as Mr. Paul McCullough, Vice President for Advancement (3R), discusses British Columbia Institute of Technology’s (BCIT) Aviation Maintenance program, which the Philippines is exploring to adopt in line with its goal of creating a pool of skilled Filipinos capable of ensuring continuing aircraft worthiness as the Philippines positions itself to be an aircraft Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul hub in the Asia Pacific. Consul General Austria likewise looked into possible cooperation in the creatives, particularly animation, games development and film.

The BCIT has some of the best training facilities in Canada, which include a 300,000 square foot stateof-the-art Aerospace Technology Campus and a broadcast and media studio.
