The Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver will host a Business Session for Filipino-Canadian Entrepreneurs in Vancouver and Canadian companies doing business with the Philippines which will be held at the 5th floor of Canadian College of Technology and Business (CCTB), 101 Smithe St, Vancouver, BC on 14 August 2025, Thursday, from 8:30am to 4:30pm on 14 August 2025.
The Business Session for Filipino Entrepreneurs in Vancouver aims to inform new and existing Filipino entrepreneurs in Vancouver to assist them in understanding the fundamentals of launching, owning and operating a small business and what challenges and opportunities to be prepared for on their entrepreneurial journey in Canada. The session will also include information about the Philippine economy, sharing of actual experiences of Canadian companies doing business in the Philippines.
This whole-day event will feature five thematic sessions, namely: Updates on Rules and Regulations on Registration and Application for Business Permits, Licenses, Taxation, and Franchising; Access to Capital; Government Regulation on Human Resource Planning; Issues Affecting Filipino Import-Export Companies; and Philippine and Canadian Governments’ Response via Panel Discussion. The program will also include breakout sessions, presentations, and open forums.
