VANCOUVER, CANADA, 09 July 2026 – President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos extended their deepest appreciation and congratulations to the Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver and the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa following the highly successful and productive Official Visit of the President to Vancouver from July 1 to 4, 2026 upon the invitation of Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.
The four-day visit, which focused on strengthening bilateral ties, fostering economic partnerships, and engaging with the vibrant Filipino-Canadian community, concluded with significant milestones that further solidify the enduring relations between the Philippines and Canada.

President Marcos Jr. praised the seamless coordination and tireless efforts of the diplomatic corps, highlighting their dedication as a cornerstone of the trip's success.
"My sincere thanks to our Embassy in Canada, our Consulate General in Vancouver and our partners who worked tirelessly to ensure a productive and meaningful visit. Ang inyong dedikasyon at malasakit ay malaking bahagi ng tagumpay ng pagbisitang ito," said President Marcos.

First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos echoed these sentiments, expressing profound gratitude for the warm hospitality, meticulous planning, and professionalism displayed by the embassy and consulate personnel throughout their stay: "Our visit to Canada would not have been the same without the...dedicated personnel of our Embassy in Canada and our Consulate General in Vancouver," the First Lady shared. "Thank you for your professionalism, your kindness and the thoughtful care you showed us every step of the way. Your warm welcome made us feel right at home, and it is something we will always remember with gratitude."

The Official Visit featured high-level meetings with Canadian officials, key business leaders, and dynamic engagements with the Filipino diaspora in British Columbia. The Philippine Embassy in Ottawa, led by Ambassador Jose Victor Chan Gonzaga, and the Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver led by Consul General Gina A. Jamoralin worked in lockstep to ensure that the presidential engagements yielded fruitful outcomes for Philippines-Canada cooperation in trade, labor, and cultural exchange.
