Consul General Gina A. Jamoralin Hosts Dinner in Honor of Foreign Affairs Secretary Ma. Theresa P. Lazaro During the Presidential Visit to Canada
Philippine Consul General to Vancouver Gina A. Jamoralin hosted a dinner in honor of Secretary of Foreign Affairs Ma. Theresa P. Lazaro at Riley's Vancouver on 02 July 2026, on the sidelines of the official visit of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to Canada from 01 to 04 July 2026.
The dinner brought together senior Philippine government officials and members of the Philippine Foreign Service in an atmosphere of fellowship and collaboration, underscoring the whole-of-government approach in supporting the successful implementation of the President's official engagements in Canada.

Among those in attendance were Department of Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo J. Cacdac; Radio Television Malacañang (RTVM) Undersecretary Franz Gerald R. Imperial; Philippine Ambassador to Canada Jose Victor Chan-Gonzaga; Assistant Secretary Rhenita Rodriguez, OAA-DFA, Director Bryan Jess Baguio, Deputy Head of Mission Rea Oreta of the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa; Consul Alexander Joseph Estomo; Vice Consul Mary Jaselle D. Consul General Jamoralin expressed her gratitude to DFA Secretary Lazaro and the members of the Philippine delegation for their leadership and dedication in advancing Philippine foreign policy objectives and safeguarding the welfare of overseas Filipinos. She also acknowledged the close coordination among the various agencies of government under the One Country Team Approach (OCTA), the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa, the Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver, the Department of Migrant Workers, the Migrant Workers Office-Vancouver, and other participating government agencies in ensuring the success of the Presidential Visit.
The dinner reaffirmed the officials’ shared commitment to providing responsive public service, promoting the welfare of Filipinos overseas, and advancing the Philippines' diplomatic, economic, and people-to-people relations with Canada. END
