ASEAN Consuls General in Vancouver (ACGV) Conducts ACGV’s 2nd Meeting and Turnover Ceremony of ACGV Chairship

VANCOUVER 08 July 2026 - The Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver successfully convened the second meeting of the ASEAN Consuls General in Vancouver (ACGV) on 24 June 2026. The gathering brought together the Heads of Posts and the Working Group Members from the five ASEAN Consulates General, reaffirming their shared commitment to strengthening ASEAN cooperation in the region.

During the meeting, the body reviewed ongoing initiatives, approved the minutes of the previous session, and received the financial report from Indonesia as ACGV Treasurer. The proceedings also highlighted the ceremonial turnover of the ACGV Chairship from the Philippines to Thailand, and the handover of the Treasurer role from Indonesia to Vietnam.

Under the Philippine Chairmanship, the Consuls General exchanged ideas, explored collaborative opportunities, and agreed on priority initiatives aimed at enhancing regional cooperation and supporting ASEAN communities across British Columbia.END
