VANCOUVER PCG CONDUCTS ITS FIRST HEARING OF THE RESIDENT ELECTION REGISTRATION BOARD (RERB)

Vancouver, BC, 20 April 2026 – The Resident Election Registration Board (RERB) chaired by Deputy Consul General Paul Vincent L. Uy conducted its first hearing on 20 April 2026 at the Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver.

The hearing covered applications filed during the registration period from 01 December 2025 to 31 March 2026 in preparation for the 08 May 2028 National and Local Elections.

The RERB proceedings were carried out in accordance with COMELEC Resolution No. 11171, also known as the “Resolution No. 11171 or the Rules and Regulations on the Conduct of Continuing Registration for Overseas Voting for Purposes of the 08 May 2028 National and Local Elections.” The hearing decided on the approval of applications for registration, reactivation, transfer, correction of entries, etc.

The Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver remains committed to upholding the integrity of the overseas voting process and ensuring that all qualified Filipino citizens abroad are given the opportunity to participate in national elections. END
