​​​​Notice to Passport Applicants

Personal appearance is required for all passport applicants.

Applicants are encouraged to book an appointment online for their convenience.

A.  Minors (under 18 years) applying for their FIRST passport should submit the following requirements with their passport application:

  • Duly accomplished passport application form

  • Original and photocopy of Dual Citizenship Certificate (Order of Approval/Identification Certificate) or Report of Birth, whichever is applicable

  • Birth certificate issued by the Vital Statistics of Canada

  • Marriage certificate of parents and proper ID (if minor is legitimate status); Personal appearance of Mother and mother’s ID (if minor is of illegitimate status)

  • Passports or any government issued IDs of applicant’s parents and photocopies of such ID

  • Letter of consent signed by either parent in the presence of the Consular Officer.  If neither parent can appear in person, the signature/signatures must be acknowledged by a notary public ​Fee: C$81.00 for new passport

B. Minors (under 18 years) RENEWING their passports should submit the following requirements with their passport application:


  • Latest Philippine passport and photocopy of passport data page (page showing photo & complete name)

  • Duly accomplished passport application form

  • Original and photocopy of one of the following: Applicant’s valid Permanent Resident Card/Temporary Residence Permit, Dual Citizenship Certificate (Order of Approval/Identification Certificate), PSA/NSO Birth Certificate/Report of Birth, or latest Tourist Visa to Canada, whichever is applicable

  • If the latest passport currently held is either a green passport or a Machine Readable Passport (MRP; passport no. starting with "XX"), submit an original PSA/NSO Birth Certificate with a photocopy for proof of place of birth

  • Passports or any government issued IDs of applicant’s parents and photocopies of such ID

  • Letter of consent signed by either parent in the presence of the Consular Officer.  If neither parent can appear in person, the signature/signatures must be acknowledged by a notary public ​Fee: C$81.00 for new passport


MODE OF PAYMENT

Vancouver applicants may pay in exact amount in cash or by money order/bank draft payable to the Philippine Consulate General.

Applicants in an Outreach Program MUST pay by MONEY ORDER or BANK DRAFT only, made payable to the Philippine Consulate General.

What documents should a minor applicant submit to obtain a passport?

​​​​The Philippine Consulate General is located at the World Trade Center Office Complex, 999 Canada Place, Suite 660 Vancouver, B.C. V6C 3E1

The Consulate is open from:

  • 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (Monday to Friday)
  • 9:00 am to 6:00 pm (every last Friday of each month)​

except on Philippine & Canadian holidays.

The Consulate is closed on:

13 Nov - Remembrance Day
30 Nov - Bonifacio Day
