Month-long Celebration of 121st Anniversary of Philippine
Independence in Vancouver

01 June 2019 – (Left photo) Deputy Consul General and Acting Head of Post Leo Tito L. Ausan, Jr. (leftmost) joins Member of Parliament for Vancouver Kingsway Don Davies (rightmost), United Filipino Canadian Association of British Columbia (UFCABC) president Joel Castillo (2R) and Multicultural Helping House Society founder Tomas Avendano (2L) in leading the Philippine flag-raising held at the Filipino Plaza in Vancouver on 01 June 2019. The flag-raising is one of various Philippine Independence Day activities organized by the UFCABC and is the first of the Filipino community-led events in Greater Vancouver in celebration of the 121st Philippine Independence Day.
