16 April 2019 – Consul General Maria Andrelita S. Austria (backrow, center) discusses plans for the food and travel fair to be held at the Robson’s Square in Vancouver on 15 June 2019 in celebration of the 121st Anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence, the first proclamation of Filipino Heritage Month, and the 70th Anniversary of Philippines-Canada relations at the 2nd Kapihan sa Konsulado with importers, distributors and retailers of Philippine products. The Kapihan participants expressed their eagerness to be part of the event and conveyed their support to the Consulate. The Consulate has tapped the assistance of Power of Three, an events organizing company owned and managed by three Filipino-Canadian sisters, who have volunteered their services for free.
Present at the Kapihan were business owners and/or representatives from AFOD Ltd., Corinthian Distributors Ltd., Goldilocks, Jack Sales and Marketing Company, KAPE, Mega Global Corp., Paradise Fruits Corp., Gardenia Trading Corp., La Glace, Loobi Canada Inc., and Rumtels Solutions, Inc. Also in the meeting were Deputy Consul General Leo Tito L. Ausan, Jr. (leftmost), Consul Arlene T. Magno (backrow, 2L) and Consular Assistant Jeanie-vi S. Llonora (not in photo).
