De Guzman (3R), and Consular Assistant Alvin dela Peña (rightmost) visited the CANN office at the Vancouver International Airport (YVR), where they learned about their programs and services. The CANN is operated by the social service agency, S.U.C.C.E.S.S., and has been welcoming immigrants, refugees and TFWs arriving at YVR from all over the world. The program works closely with the YVR and the Canadian Border Services Agency to provide immediate support to the newcomers, in the form of in-person and on-line services. It also provides refugees with meals upon arrival and winter gear in cooler months. Also in photo are CANN Senior Manager Suddhodan Baiduya (center) and Labor Assistant Jesus Emmanuel Samonte (2R).
